Ovivo’s Copa SAF (Submerged Aerated Filter) is a low-energy biological filter that can achieve high final effluent quality of 15mg:25mg:5mg BOD:SS:NH4 when treating domestic and industrial wastewater. The filter is designed for a population equivalent of up to 3000 people.
The filter can be installed as a permanent or temporary solution, or as part of a planned works maintenance programme. The tanks and pipework are manufactured in either stainless steel or mild steel, with tanks painted in polyurethane coating to extend the design life and reduce whole life costs. Ovivo also has the capability to meet specific site and transportation requirements.
Installing the SAF tank above ground reduces installation time and civil costs, whilst allowing units to be moved easily. In visually sensitive areas, the system can be installed partially or completely below ground. Diffusers, which can be removed without interrupting the flow, provide air to keep the treatment system healthy.
